Destine Broker at FIAR 2025

It was a pleasure for us to be at Sinaia for the 26th edition of FIAR – The Insurance – Reinsurance Forum. Between May 25th and 27th, we had the opportunity to meet many insurance professionals, brokers, authority representatives, and IT specialists.

The discussions about climate risks and the role of insurers were very useful. We also talked about technology and how it helps the insurance market, as well as insurance distribution. We didn’t forget the new regulations, an important topic for everyone.

Insurance Distribution Conference – FIAR 2025

Question: From your perspective, what’s the most important factor determining client trust in the sales process today: company reputation, agent empathy, or algorithm transparency?
Answer: All these factors are important, depending on each participant’s perspective when buying an insurance product. No single factor is more important than another; their combination is the essence.

Question: Digitization isn’t just about eliminating paper from the underwriting process…
Answer: That was an important factor at the beginning of digitization. It reduced paper consumption and partly contributed to saving nature and storage space (for documents) for brokers and insurers.
Digitization now works by reducing information processing time, helping us save time. It supports insurers, brokers, and clients who, by having faster access to information and policy documents, can make informed decisions.

Question: What new skills do insurance agents and brokers need to develop to remain relevant in an increasingly digital ecosystem? How can technology help in the sales process?
Answer: Going digital has been good for us and gave us the satisfaction of contributing to a more sustainable future. An important step for us and our clients was creating an app, which was quite expensive but worth the effort. Specifically, we’re talking about our mobile app that allows policy premiums and installments to be paid by simply tapping a card to the phone.

Question: Do you think the traditional sales force will still exist in 10 years? If so, in what form?
Answer: The traditional sales force will still exist in 10 years, and it will be assisted by artificial intelligence.
On the other hand, we’re thinking about the younger generation and how they operate. To meet their needs, we might consider adjusting current regulations, as younger generations don’t have enough patience to read through today’s extensive legal packages and complex procedures. We need to adapt all these provisions into simple, easy-to-understand and remember formulas.

Claims-Insurance Conference – FIAR 2025

Alina Preda, Development Director at DESTINE Broker, spoke during the panel on claims management in the context of climate catastrophes:
“In claims management, especially internationally, technology is essential, from satellite localization to rapid data analysis. But the key remains continuous adaptation and efficient collaboration.”

Building a more connected and future-ready industry

For Destine Broker, participating in FIAR 2025 was valuable. We exchanged ideas and learned new things that are useful for our growth. We’re glad we were part of this event.
We thank everyone with whom we shared ideas, questions, and visions! We’re happy we were there and that, together, we can build a more connected, transparent, and prepared industry for the challenges of the future.
